On January 22, 2025, Zhenshi Group Dongfang Special Steel Co., Ltd. reached a cooperation agreement with Germany's Westmark Group to jointly promote the construction of a new hot-rolled strip steel plant (HSM) in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. Westmark Group will provide advanced hot coil boxes and seven stand precision rolling equipment and technical services for the project. The new factory has an annual production capacity of 3 million tons, mainly producing stainless steel plates with a thickness of 1.85 to 20 millimeters and a width of 2.25 meters.

The precision rolling mill adopts Westmark CVC technology, with a maximum rolling force of 5400 tons and a frame design that sets an industry record. Hot coil box technology can optimize the temperature of strip steel, improve rolling stability, and reduce carbon footprint. In addition, CVCplus technology will ensure the flatness and contour accuracy of the strip steel. The core equipment is all manufactured in Germany, demonstrating the project's technological leadership. This cooperation marks a new stage for Zhenshi Group in the field of high standard stainless steel production.
