On June 30, 2025, the Brazilian government officially launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into hot-rolled stainless steel flat plate products from China, India, and Indonesia in response to Aperam Inox Am é rica do Sul S.A.'s application in October 2024.

After preliminary document review, the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) has determined that the existing evidence is sufficient to prove the existence of dumping behavior, damage to domestic industries, and the causal relationship between the two.

The current dumping investigation period is from July 2023 to June 2024, while the industry damage analysis period can be traced back to July 2019 to June 2024.

The product in question is a hot-rolled stainless steel flat plate (coil or sheet) with a thickness of ≥ 2mm and ≤ 50.8mm, corresponding to tariff code columns: 7219.11.00, 7219.12.00, 7219.13.00, 7219.14.00, 7219.21.00, 7219.22.00, 7219.23.00, 7219.24.00, 7220.11.00, 7220.12.20, and 7220.12.90.
