On April 1, 2025, the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance issued Announcement No. 2025-91, extending the validity period of the temporary anti-dumping duty on Cold Rolled Stainless Steel originating in Vietnam from four months to seven months, from December 19, 2024 to July 18, 2025.

The temporary anti-dumping tax rate ranges from 3.66% to 11.37%, among which Yongjin Metal Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. and its affiliated manufacturers/exporters have a tax rate of 3.66%, TVL Joint Stock Company, TVL Steel Production and Construction Joint Stock Company and their affiliated manufacturers/exporters have a tax rate of 11.37%, and other Vietnamese manufacturers/exporters have a tax rate of 4.79%.

The Korean tax numbers of the products involved are 7219.31.1010, 7219.31.1090, 7219.31.9000, 7219.32.1010, 7219.32.1090, 7219.32.9000, 7219.33.1010, 7219.33.1090, 7219.33.9000, 7219.34.1010, 7219.34.1090, 7219.34.9000, 7219.35.1010, 7219.35.1090, 7219.35.9000, 7219.90.1010, 7219.90.1090, 7219.90.9000, 7220.20.1010, 7220.20.1090, 7220.29.9000, 7220.9.1010, 7220.9.1090, 7220.9.9000.

On May 30, 2024, South Korea initiated an anti-dumping investigation into cold-rolled stainless steel coils originating from Vietnam. On October 17, 2024, the Korea Trade Commission made a positive preliminary ruling on the case, recommending that the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance impose a temporary anti-dumping duty of 3.66% to 11.37% on the products involved. On December 19, 2024, the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance issued Announcement No. 2024-41, deciding to impose temporary anti-dumping duties ranging from 3.66% to 11.37% on Vietnamese products involved in the case. The measures will come into effect on December 19, 2024, and will be valid for four months until April 18, 2025.
